MAJOR: Teaching and Learning

SPECIALIZATION: Integrated Social Studies

SUMMARY: The Master of Education in Integrated Social Studies leads to an initial teaching license in the state of Ohio to teach social studies in grades 7-12. Students in this program learn the latest theory and research in the field of teaching and learning, as well as methods related to social studies and global studies. Research focused on theory and application of inquiry-based models of education as well as advocation of equity, social justice, and democratic classrooms. Program ranked 5th nationally in curriculum and instruction and 10th in secondary teacher education at time of graduation.

MAJOR: Youth/Sports Ministry

MINORS: Coaching and Sports Management

SUMMARY: Studied in both School of Theology and School of Education. Studied under only professor in world with doctorate in sports ministry. New hybrid sports management/ministry degree designed based on my coursework

SUMMARY: A series of interactive workshops designed to increase cultural competence and cultivate equitable practices in both the classroom and the office offered by the office of diversity and inclusion at one of Ohio's most diverse campuses.
