Courses taught: Criminology, Global Studies, Introduction to Law

Adapted city and state curriculum to accommodate English language learners and special needs students in the Nest, Horizon, and District 75 programs with 70% of my students having either IEP or ELL status. Received specialized training for working with students on the autism spectrum. Designed class work and unit assessments using mastery-based, inquiry-based, and project-based learning.

Courses taught: American Government, Economics, Financial Literacy, Modern World History, Expeditionary Learning Crew

Currently writing curriculum based on a mastery / standards-based grading system with a focus on critical reasoning and civic engagement. Working closely with IS team to provide scaffolded and differentiated learning with 40% of my students on IEPs or 504s. Utilizing PowerSchool, Schoology, and Google Workspace software. Affiliated with EL Education.

Courses taught: International Politics

Developed my own curriculum with a heavy emphasis on debate, discussion, and simulations with gifted students in grades 7-11. Coordinated collaborative projects with other humanities instructors. Organized writing workshops and Model UN. Worked with students to propose changes to the CTY student code of conduct and on how to improve the campus community by promoting anti-racism and zero-intolerance training. Utilized Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams.

Developed my own curriculum with a focus on project-based and inquiry-based learning. Provided 1-on-1 support and differentiated learning for my mixed general/enriched classes. Worked closely with ELL department to provide materials in French for a student who could not read or write English. Utilized Google Classroom, Google Meet, Google Workspace, and PowerSchool software.
