Future Builders grew from a simple observation: students need a curriculum that explains why institutions function the way they do, not just what happens in a classroom.
The program integrates global studies, law, economics, governance, ethics, and civic agency into six thematic arcs. Its design reflects insights from the Harvard Case Method Institute, as well as my experience securing approvals for the NYS Seal of Civic Readiness and Legal Studies CTE programs—two initiatives that require accountability, documentation, and alignment to state frameworks. Students examine institutional structures across government, business, civil society, and emerging technologies. They practice reasoning through real dilemmas, evaluating trade-offs, and communicating decisions clearly—skills essential for democratic participation.
Future Builders is expanding into a multi-track curriculum in social studies, law, business, and interdisciplinary humanities, forming a blueprint for schools seeking more equitable and purposeful learning pathways.
This project reflects my commitment to building civic capacity through thoughtful, human-centered design.
