The FiftyOne Project began with a question that underlies all healthy democracies: How do we strengthen the public’s ability to understand, evaluate, and meaningfully engage with the institutions that shape their lives?
The project has since grown into a platform for civic learning, leadership development, and responsible governance. Its flagship initiative—the Civic Leadership Lab—blends case-based learning, policy communication, and community-centered design. Drawing on training from the Harvard Case Method Institute, as well as research in administrative transparency and public trust, the Lab teaches participants how to analyze real-world dilemmas using structured reasoning and constitutional thinking.
This work is further informed by my engagement with the iCivics Educator Network, where educators collaborate to advance national standards for civic readiness and participatory skills.
Building clearer, more ethical systems is not abstract work—it is community work. The FiftyOne Project exists to lower the barriers between people and institutions through better explanations, stronger dialogue, and transparent decision-making.
At its core, this project reflects my mission: to help institutions lead with clarity and citizens engage with confidence.
